We invite you to explore our beliefs and join us in our pursuit of living out our faith in boldness and passion.
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, who is eternal and the only begotten Son of God (John 1:1). For us, He came down from heaven and took man's nature in the womb of the virgin, Mary, by miraculous conception of the Holy Spirit. He lived a sinless life and for our sake, He was crucified, suffered death, and was buried. On the third day, He rose bodily from the grave. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father where He intercedes for man until he returns to take His church home.
We believe that there is one God, the God of the Bible, and that He exists in the form of the holy Trinity—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This one true and living God is infinitely perfect both in His love and in His holiness. He is the Creator of all things, visible and invisible, and is therefore worthy to receive all glory and adoration. (Genesis 1:1; Deuteronomy 6:4-7; Matthew 3:16-17; John 1:1-5; 2 Corinthians 13:14; 1 Peter 1:2; 2 Peter 1:16-21)
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Godhead, who with the Father and Son is worshiped and glorified, convicts men and women of sin and guides them into all truth. Furthermore, the Holy Spirit gifts individuals to enable them to do the work of the Kingdom. We believe that there is one baptism of the Holy Spirit that takes place when we are identified with Christ and immersed into Him which allows us to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:38)
We believe in salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. We believe that Jesus was sent by God to save us and give us eternal life and that salvation is only possible through what Jesus did and who He is. We understand that we are saved through grace and not by any works of our own (Ephesians 2:8), but that faith is active and not just a one time lackadaisical invitation. We believe that through accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior we are able to receive the forgiveness of our sins and experience the promise of eternal life with God.
through confession (Romans 10:9) and repentance (Acts 2:38, 3:19) and being identified with Christ through water baptism (Acts 2:38, 1 Peter 3:21),
We believe that the Bible, the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testament are the written Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit and the Infallible and inerrant in the original writings. (2 Timothy 3:16) We believe that the Bible is our standard for life, and its truth, integrity, and relevance is of utmost importance. The Bible is not just a book, but a living guide, full of God’s wisdom and guidance. Through scripture, we learn about God’s character, how to live and act, and how to grow in our spiritual journey. We believe that by reading and studying the Bible, we are able to draw closer to God and deepen our understanding of His love.
We believe in the importance of baptism. Baptism identifies a believer with their commitment to Jesus and His teachings, and is an act of faith. We believe that baptism is essential to Christian discipleship, and it is God’s design to proclaim our allegiance to Jesus. Baptism is a command of God and welcomes new believers into the family of God (Mark 16:16). We are deeply committed to helping believers celebrate this important milestone in their journey of faith. By celebrating and honoring baptism, we are proclaiming our faith in Jesus and our desire to serve Him and others.
We believe that the Church was ordained by God and its central purpose is to glorify God. The Church is composed of all who are united to Him in faith, by baptism, and are thus members of the body of which He is head. All Christians should live in fellowship with the Church, uniting in its worship of the one True God, participating in its great task of evangelizing the world and loving one another even as Christ loved the Church (Acts 2:42-47). We believe that the church is to be Bible-based and elder led (Acts 14:23).
We believe in the power of prayer, both individually and corporately, as an expression of faith in God's work in our lives. Prayer is an essential part of a Christian life and is used to talk to God and to communicate with Him. Through prayer, we seek to deepen our understanding of God's will and His plans for our lives. Praying helps us grow closer to God and to gain a better understanding of His will and how we can best serve Him. When we pray, we open ourselves up to God and He will answer us in His own way and in His own time. Prayer is a beautiful and powerful way to communicate with our Heavenly Father and to seek His love and guidance. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-19) We are the given Holy Spirit to help us even when we don’t know what to pray for (Romans 8:26).
